Did you know you could get your associates degree in high school?
Hi! My name is Lucia Cavallini and I am the ASB Class of 2022 President and valedictorian. A few fun facts about me are that I am the oldest of five siblings and will be graduating from college before high school. Yeah… that’s right. Thanks to East Village Middle College dual enrollment program I will be graduating with not one, but three associate's degrees at the same time as my high school diploma. It is unreal to say this, but it is true! If I can do it, so can you! With all the support from the wonderful staff and resources of EV, I will be graduating with associates in: Liberal Arts and Sciences: Elementary Multiple Subject Teaching Preparation, Liberal Arts and Sciences: Language Arts and Humanities, Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social and Behavioral Sciences and an IGETC/CSU certification. The graphic to the left is a guide on how I did this, and how you could too! By taking all those classes and a few electives I was able to accomplish a lot in my time at EV. With the right motivation and choosing electives you like, you too could be on the path to an associate’s degree.
